Dear fellow Readers,
I would like to share with you the video of Di Zang Wang Pu Sa (地藏王普萨) that my friend has shared with me. Please enjoy and may it benefit all of you:)
Di Zang Wang Pu Sa is also known as Earth-Store Bodhisattva or Great Vow Bodhisattva. He also bears the name Ksitigarbha which means "treasure of the earth". In Japan he is called Jizo. In China he is known as Di Zang Wang Pu Sa. In Tibetan he is addressed as Sai Nyingpo and in Korean he is known as Jijang-bosal.
In some of Di Zang Wang Pu Sa's pictures or statues, we can see that his attire/robe is like the Master Xuanzang's, the famous Tripitaka master of the Tang Dynasty who made the hazardous journey to the West to seek the Buddhist scriptures in the Chinese epic Journey to the West. According to some websites, it is the robe of a Northern Buddhist monk. Due to the robe and the Five Buddhas crown which both are seen to wear, a lot of people misconcept that Di Zang Wang Pu Sa and Master Xuanzang is the same person.
Other than this misconception, many people think that Di Zang Wang Pu Sa is the judge of Hell, King Yama. This, of course, is not true.
Di Zang Wang Pu Sa's vow is: "If Hell is not empty I will not attain Buddhahood". This means that he will not become a Buddha unless all the sentient beings in the hells are relieved of their suffering.
To conclude this posting, I would like to express my greatest appreciation and gratitude to the one(s) who created this video and uploaded it in YouTube:)
Stay tuned and enjoy the video!
